Most of us have experienced what we may have thought was a lengthy and laborious bus journey at some point or another. According to the Guinness World Records the longest bus journeys in the world took place in 1988 and departed from London in England. The longest bus journey – Thompson, Weston, and Steel Hughie Thompson, Richard Steel, and John Weston decided to embark on the monster of all bus journeys in 1988 – a journey that took them over a year to complete. The three men who were all from the UK travelled on a London Double Decker bus across 18 countries and covered over 54,000 miles. They set out in November 1988 from London and finally arrived back in the English capital in December 1989. As part of their mammoth bus journey, the three men travelled to Copenhagen from London. They then went on to Hamburg, Milan and Istanbul. Next, their London bus took them to Dubai after which they headed to Lahore, Bombay and Singapore. Next came the Australian cities of Perth and Sydney which were followed by Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. Orpheum Theater: Take in a show at Omaha’s Historic Auditorium

The Orpheum Theater in Omaha is steeped in history, which is why so many people want to pay a visit when they are in the area. The site of the theater was first used as a branch of the US Army headquarters before being opened in 1898 as the Creighton Orpheum, the name was then shortened to The Orpheum. The 44th Cornhusker Jr/Sr High School Trapshoot (May 2-4, 2013 – Doniphan, Nebraska)

Trapshooting is a very popular sport which can be enjoyed by people of all ages and all abilities. This fast-shooting, keen-eyed sport is not just fun to participate, it’s also amazing to watch. The 44th Cornhusker Jr/Sr High School Trapshoot is one of the many trapshoot events held during the year in this country and it is by far the most well known. The shoot is open to all junior and high school students as well as students from the 6th grade. All schools are welcome to enter a team or two and see how well they do against other teams from around the country. As you might expect, this event which is held over three days can be very thrilling and there is nothing like going along with your school team to cheer them on. Before you can get to the shoot you will need to register your team. This can be done by filling in a simple form and paying a registration fee. Doing this will secure your team’s entrance to the shoot.
